US oil company compliance in Guyana

How PetroMetric separates Guyana law from FCPA, OFAC, Rule 13q-1 and US benchmarks for a US oil company.

Two legal systems, one register

A US company working in Guyana still has Guyana duties. It may also have United States duties that travel with issuer status, ownership, territory or the person who acts. PetroMetric does not collapse those into one "US compliant" badge.

FCPA anti-bribery and books-and-records duties, OFAC sanctions programmes, and SEC Rule 13q-1 are tracked as applicability questions. OSHA PSM, BSEE SEMS and US EPA RMP or SPCC are labelled benchmarks unless counsel establishes that US statutory geography actually applies.

What the product will not decide

It will not declare a payment lawful because an internal gift limit was met. It will not label an unreviewed screening hit as a sanctioned person. It will not file Form SD. Where Rule 13q-1 applies, the not-de-minimis figure used in this catalogue is USD 100,000, and the form is due 270 days after fiscal year end.

Informational only. This is not legal, tax, or regulatory advice, and it is not a certification or a government publication. A qualified legal reviewer has not been appointed. Confirm the current Act, permit, licence, and guideline before you rely on a date or a figure. PetroMetric does not file reports or applications with any agency.
