Stabroek supplier registration is not the statutory register
A commercial supplier portal for Stabroek Block work is not the government Local Content Register.
What the official sources say
Companies searching for Exxon or Stabroek supplier registration are usually looking for a commercial prequalification step. The Centre for Local Business Development describes its Centre Hub as a business index where a supplier can post a profile, including VAT, TIN, and a local content certificate number. That profile does not issue the statutory certificate. The certificate comes from the Local Content Secretariat portal at https://localcontent.gov.gy.
PetroMetric is not a registrar for any operator, and no operator is a client of this product. An operator questionnaire, a Centre Hub profile, and a Secretariat certificate can all sit in one supplier file as separate evidence. Completing one does not complete the others. Registration is not a promise of work.
Checklist
- Get the Secretariat certificate from localcontent.gov.gy if the law requires it.
- Keep VAT and TIN evidence for the GRA file, not only as profile fields.
- Store the commercial prequalification pack, including safety questionnaires, as its own version.
- Do not tell a buyer that a Hub profile is a government certificate.
- Record the date the profile was last updated. A stale profile is missing evidence.
Questions people ask
Does PetroMetric register suppliers with an operator?
No. It stores the evidence you already have. It does not submit a profile to an operator, to the Centre Hub, or to the Secretariat.
Is Exxon a PetroMetric client?
No. This site names no clients. Stabroek is discussed only because people search for supplier registration related to that block.
Which register is the legal one?
The government Local Content Register is the Secretariat portal, https://localcontent.gov.gy, as announced by the Ministry on 22 September 2026. Commercial portals are additional.
